1. Overview

Emrys Technologies LLC ("Emrys Technologies," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at emrystechnologies.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices available to you. This policy applies only to this Site — it does not describe the data practices of any individual product (such as Foster Companion or Kinship Gateway), which will publish its own privacy policy addressing its specific data handling once available.

This Site is operated from the United States and is intended for a United States audience. It is written to comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). It does not address the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as the Site is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information from, users in the European Union or United Kingdom.

2. Information we collect

Because this Site is informational and does not offer account registration or purchases, the information we collect is limited:

• Information you provide directly. If you email us (for example, at [email protected]), we receive your email address, name if provided, and the contents of your message.
• Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages visited, generally for security, performance, and basic analytics purposes.
• No sensitive categories collected here. This Site does not ask for or knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government identification, financial account information, health information, or precise geolocation.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• Respond to inquiries sent to our contact email;
• Maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
• Understand aggregate Site usage (e.g., which pages are visited);
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not use information collected through this Site to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not currently run advertising or marketing campaigns that target visitors based on this Site's data.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information collected through the Site only with:

• Service providers who host the Site, provide DNS and content-delivery services, or otherwise support our operations, under obligations to protect that information and use it only to provide services to us;
• Legal and safety purposes — where required to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or respond to a valid legal process;
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, subject to that entity honoring the commitments in this policy for previously collected information.

5. Text messaging (SMS) data — future programs

Emrys Technologies LLC does not currently operate a text messaging (SMS) program through this Site. If a text messaging program is introduced in the future — by Emrys Technologies LLC or by one of its products — the following commitments will apply to information collected through that program:

• Mobile phone numbers and consent records collected for SMS purposes will be used only to deliver the messaging program you opted into and to comply with legal and carrier requirements.
• No mobile opt-in data or phone numbers collected for SMS purposes will be shared or sold to any third party for that third party's own marketing or promotional purposes. This is a specific, narrower commitment than the general sharing practices in Section 4, and it applies specifically to SMS-originated mobile information.
• You will be able to withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP, as described in our Terms of Use.
• Message content, delivery logs, and consent timestamps may be retained as needed to demonstrate compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements (including 10DLC campaign registration obligations).

6. Cookies and similar technologies

This Site may use a limited number of cookies or similar technologies for essential site functioning and basic, aggregate analytics. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. If that changes, this policy will be updated accordingly and, where required by law, a cookie consent mechanism will be added.

7. "Do Not Track" signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to DNT signals, this Site does not currently change its behavior when it detects a DNT signal from your browser.

8. Data retention

We retain contact-form and email correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to address your inquiry and for a limited period afterward for recordkeeping purposes, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Automatically collected technical/log information is retained by our infrastructure providers according to their standard operational retention periods.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information transmitted through this Site, including transport encryption (HTTPS) provided through our content-delivery and DNS provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

As a California company, we are mindful of rights that apply to California residents under the CCPA/CPRA, even though this Site currently collects only limited categories of personal information (primarily contact information you choose to send us). Subject to applicable thresholds and exceptions in the law, California residents generally have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected and how it has been used and disclosed;
• Delete personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA;
• Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

11. Children's privacy

This Site is a general corporate informational site directed at adults and is not directed at, marketed to, or knowingly used to collect personal information from children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this Site.
